TEAM BUILDING

Team building experiences that do good (and taste good)

If you’ve never shared a spatula with a colleague, or chopped chicken with a client, now’s the time to give it a try. Because there’s nothing like the pressure of cooking massive amounts of food to a tight deadline to bring people together.

Some companies use our events to get a team working better together, or get people off Zoom and into the same space. Others bring a bunch of clients for a day they won’t forget. Shouting ‘Yes, Chef!’ is optional, but it adds to the fun – and there are prizes for chopping skills, team-player energy and more.

And because the profits go back to our community, the feelgood effect lasts long after the washing up is done. Here are some of the ways you can cook with us.

Thank you for such a wonderful event!
I’ve never seen the team so engaged.

Our team building cooking experiences

Cook & Share

Roll up your sleeves, crank up the tunes, and get cooking for our community

We’ll give you a briefing, split you into groups, then set you to work prepping and cooking around 100 meals, for local residents, shelters and charities.

You’ll think there’s no way it can all be done in time, but with the help of our chefs and some brilliant teamwork, you’ll pull it out of the bag. And when you sit down to eat together, it’ll taste like the best meal you’ve ever had.

Cook & Serve

Get your chef’s hat and your game face on, and host a three-course meal

You’ll be tasked with making a starter, main course and dessert, with the hard deadline of 60 residents arriving to be fed. Our chefs will support you as you chop, stir, roast and bake, and we’ll be as proud as you are if your meal gets a round of applause.

We can promise you’ll be ready for a sit down by the time you regroup for your meal – and that you’ll never have felt so exhilarated by spending time in the kitchen.

Test Kitchen

Experiment with flavours and textures as you try to create a winner

We’ll set you off with a basic recipe that we haven’t tested yet, and challenge you to make it perfect. You’ll follow your instincts and get a bit inventive – then you’ll taste each other’s creations and decide which ones make the cut. And you’ll round off the experience by sitting together to eat the wining dishes.

Test Kitchen is new for 2024, and is only available to returning clients, or those who have booked an Annual Package.

Annual Packages

Cook more, get more and give more to our community

If you love what we’re doing, and want to come back for seconds (and thirds, and fourths...) an Annual Package is the answer. It’s a year-long bundle of fun that includes four team building events and a Cook for Good Soup Lunch at your offices (cooked and hosted by our Community Brigade).

And because we know how much everyone wants one, we’ll throw in a Cook for Good apron for each member of the team to take home.

What happens at a team building event?

We recently hosted a team from Genuine Dining, one of our culinary partners, who made a film of their Cook & Serve experience. Here’s what they got up to.

"What a great event! We all had such fun, learnt so much, made and tasted incredible food and left feeling incredibly humbled and connected to such an amazing initiative!"

Camelot

What a thoroughly excellent day! Thank you so much to the team.  Really good to be able to serve the local community, and speak with them - brings it all to life.
